Hawaii – Day 3

Leave a comment Ah, today was a nice relaxing day, just drove around the island that I’m on, saw things, went to places… see below as usual.
Tomorrow though, I’m off on a group tour to see Pearl Harbour and that stuff… hated the movie, so hopefully this will be better 🙂
Started the trip off here… back at DOLE..
They have really REALLY big FISH…
And.. Pineapple plants….
and old machines
and red dirt….

and more stuff like that, which explains why I got bored.
Had a light lunch of a fairly average hotdog and some Pineapple Ice-cream
with pineapple chunks 🙂 yummier 🙂
and then I drove some more… and saw water….
and…..more water….
Now, I have to point out that by this stage, I was fairly well lost,
so forgive me if I don’t mention where I am, because I haven’t a bloody clue 🙂
And.. I saw one of these…

And then, in the middle of nowhere…..
A Mormon temple.
WOW, it was actually very impressive, and this totally HOT little Russian girl came out dressed in her moron gown and started talking to me, and i was totally captivated by her ample charms that I didn’t notice that she was trying to convince me to become a moron.. oops.. Mormon… but I used my adorable Pagan charms on her and escaped after much perving and her cuteness ….
How come all the cute ones are either “giving them selves” to some random gods or going out with pigass ugly guys ?
Ah well….

TWINKIES!!!!! **Crazy dance around the room** I FOUND TWINKIES!!!!!!!!!!
It’s been over 25 years sin
ce I last had a Twinkie… All i had was memories of what I thought they tasted like… and I bought 4 packets, and scoffed them all… felt a bit sick after.. so washed the sickness away with a bottle of Coke…
Result…. TWINKIES ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!! 🙂
*sighs* think i gained a bit of weight…:)

I saw this old ruins from which i gather used to be some old sugar mill that died in the late 18’00s….
By this time, things were getting dark, so I packed my Twinkied-out tummy back in the car and headed home… 🙂

Well, today started off slow, I met up with a lovely person from blogtv today… LadyJenivie @ BlogTV.com (you should catch her show, click on her name, its a link) the meet was for mid-day, so i managed to get fairly lost… really.. navigational devices are crap.. either that, or I’m lame at driving on the wrong side of the road.. still got to see things i never knew existed 🙂
After the meet, I went for a drive (another way of saying i got lost again) and this is what became..
This is me, driving, and fairly lost…. I seem to do lost really well… *sighs*
Keeping with that theme….
I drove some more….
I went here also…..
FINALLY… I saw a sign…….. a sign… not the sign…
Then…….
yeah.. I ended up here….
An actual Radio Shack… hardly any radios though… weird that..
I saw one of these…
I had a bite to eat here…
This was the fooding….
I also saw one of these…

… that fairly much covers all the food groups I can think of 🙂
Then, I went for a drive, and ended up in a place called Helemano Military Reservation…… now, it has to be said at this point, I drove around a little, didnt get out of the car, kept the doors locked and tried to look blendy-inny with the area.. I failed…. I took a few pictures only, to show what the housing was like.. and I was kinda shocked, cause what I saw, really reminded me of what I hate about my hometown, also a very touristy type place, and what effects it has on the local people…
I continued on.. and found pineapples… yerrr pineapples…..
Yes indeed, but I got there just as they were closing up…. so I’m going to go back another day, its a plantation, and you can go look around and stuff… while inside, I did spot this…

I Stopped at a local Serv-O for a quick break and found this….
Not quite a Twinky… but close… so very very close….. *drools* they didn’t last long, shortly after that photo was taken, they died a horrible but befitting death *grins* IN MA TUMMY! 🙂
Anyone know where in Honolulu I can get real TWINKYS from ? 🙂
I kept going, and ended up in a place called the North Shore , where I sampled some of the worlds most EXPENSIVE fish and chips…. at this place..
Costed me $17USD for 1 bit of icky fish, some fries, and a Root beer… Oh well…
After that, I droved home, only stopping in traffic for a moment to snap this fairly useless picture of a building…
Well, that was it for today…

Hawaii – Day 1 – part 1
so, depending on how I feel, there may not be a part 2…
Got up late, felt so lazy, so I was up and about at about 8am local time.. that’s late i guess ?
got kitted up and took my self and my camera for a walk along Waikiki beach… here’s some random photos and some blurb to go along with it.
This old girl apparently is someone special.. I didn’t pay much attention 🙂
The walkway along Waikiki beach is fairly much like this, its nice and clean and tidy with……..
Yep, you guessed it, HOOKERS… after she asked me if I was interested, and I politely gave her directions to where she should go… I snapped a pic of her skanky ass 🙂
Star Bucks , at the beach, and notice to the bottom right there is a guy sleeping just under a tree… he’s homeless… and there is a LOT of this around… further along is a public park/ground with what’s litteraly a camp of tents and stuff set up where they live.. I’ll remember to snap shots of it later…
Here are some general random pictures looking up and down Waikiki beach… its a beach, and really not that special, to be honest. but it is nice, and there are some fine fine girls around…. well, I’m allowed to look 🙂

Next I went to the Aquearium thingie, it was neat, here’s only a couple of pictures…
After seeing fish.. I decided it was FOODING time… and went to a place called Cheeseb
urgers in Paradise and lordy or lordy, YUMMIE…. if you ever goto Honolulu you HAVE To go to Cheeseburgers in Paradise 🙂 … personally, i’ve always been a cheesebuger slut 🙂

I saw a UGG shop.. and what got me was … it was branded UGG Austrailia… now I just had to pop in and ask the staff what was up with the name, as I know there was a big battle with some USA company and an Austrailian crowd fighting over the copyright of the UGG name…guess they sorted it out… and the stop staff were wicked nice people.. I mean.. really really nice people, I’m glad, really, that I popped in there, its rare to meet genunally nice people these days who take a little time to shoot the breeze with you… 🙂 Thanks Guys 🙂 Big UPs 🙂
Walking around, I saw this dude, who kindly let me take a photo of him.. unemployed and asking for donations, I read the sign and just burst out laughing, this dude has style, and he was a really nice person to chat with also… :)…. read the sign 🙂 .. yeah i have him a $20 🙂
Then there was this guy…. weirdly enuff, he was there a few hours later when I walked passed again…. just chillin..
Just down a bit there’s like a farmers market setup, I went for a walk though and a general perv. The girl in the second picture was selling some twerly things, but what was interesting is that her and her workmate both spoke very good Japanese and everytime Japanese tourists came by they would rush up to them chattering away and get them to buy these things… the girlie was cute, so picture had to be taken 🙂
This shop really appealed to me 🙂 can you work out why ? 🙂

This lady was kind enough to let me shoot her, here, she works for a company that lets you shoot real guns at a range, now, not really an issue i guess for those that are into guns, I was just a little supprised to see how open americans are about them.. saw plenty of police also, armed with both a gun and a a tazer.. interesting…
Totally GUTTED… NOT Hawaii Five-0 … 😦 ah well…

All in all, a good day was had, feet hurt, I smell (shower time) and was well fooded both in the tummy and the eyes 🙂 LOL

Hawaii – Arrival and Food
Well, I had a lot of fun, firstly let me say, US Customs sucks.. 🙂 their computer network crashed and there was a lot of unhappy people just standing about waiting for hell to freeze over, which it eventually did 🙂
Got my rental car from Hertz, yes there’s a reason they call it HURTS. Anyways, my very first time driving on the wrong side of the road, at night, on the freeway, (shitting myself big-time) with my navigational unit from new Zealand telling me it didn’t know where I was, even though it was showing me directions on the map… weird.. weird…
I gets to my hotel room.. YAY, here’s what it looks like…. it’s small.. btw.
It’s defiantly a “single” room, but hey, there’s just me and I’m ok with that. Its on the 17th floor with really nice views.. BTW did you know there’s no 13th floor ?? what’s up with that ? weird….

So, after settling in and getting my self sorted, I went FOOD HUNTING….
and low-and-behind, right across the road.. DENNYS!! YES!!!! I munch at Denny’s back home fairly often, so now was my chance, my first food in a real Denny’s on American soil…
I took sneaky photos with my cell phone, i don’t think they were too impressed, but being a human faking a z3bra, i had my z3bra courage, so I did it anyway…
Ok I have to say, the Prices are WAY Cheaper then they are back home, the menu is about the same in its contents, give or take a few variations.. and the food.. zillions times better!!! OMG I had this Country Steak thing… YUMMIE… 🙂
Ummm one thing I don’t get… Tipping ? what’s that all about ?
Anyways, one other odd thing,, the guy that runs this Denny’s.. is from the U.K. LOL hard case 🙂 We chatted for a while, moaning about Americans (kidding). 🙂
Anyways, enough pointless rambling.. I’m off outside for a walk and a stalk 🙂
