And so it begins, the beginning of the end of the beginning…. 😛

I left Auckland on the 26th of Dec 2014, all packed and ready…. and began the drive down to Wellington, where I am to catch the 2am crossing to the south island… yay!!

Please note… This trip is a personal one for me, so I’m only sharing a small part of it… so if you’re wondering about the big jumps in time / gaps etc.. that’s why.

Sooo..

Went on a little adventure this weekend gone.

I was bored, so drove up north, also known as the Far North,

to 90 Mile Beach (which isn’t 90 miles long) and right to the very tippy top

of New Zealand, a place Cape Reinga .

Was a lot of fun..

PS, please forgive the poor quality, it was all filmed on my Samsung Note 3, handheld and in a cradle so it’s really shaky… also been learning Final Cut Pro X on the mac, so forgive the terrible editing 🙂

Yes, it’s that time of year again, the beginning of a new year, few days into it and nothing to do other than relax and spend Smile So, I thought I’d go on a little mini-trip to the east coast of NZ. I was last there over 10 years ago, and have wanted to get back for a while…..

My actual plan for the trip was to start at Gisborne,

and then end the trip at Opotiki,

which basically is basically the east peninsula area (below)

And so I started to prep for the trip, and in doing so I thought I’d advertise in the local to see if anyone wanted a ride from Auckland to Gisborne or part there of, and as luck would have it i connected with two gals who were in Rotorua and wanting to get to Gisborne, so that was kool.

So, here we go.. instead of posting countless images and making this blog silly-big.. here’s a trip video instead. Smile
