“This piece was written inspired by late Carmen, the black Labrador who lived 2 doors down from us. She was gentle, clever and calm yet extremely playful and apparently a bit naughty at times. Carmen loved her family and friends, her doggie friends, sleeping, eating, digging out vegetables in the gardens, and running around the beaches and parks. Aren’t we so lucky to have such faithful, positive thinking and fun loving companions? Our world wouldn’t be the same place without dogs!” – Miho Wada

HI Folks..
Well, where to start.. Miho Wada’s MJO had another EPIC gig last night at the Portland Public House in Auckland, and it was PACKED and then some.
I swear I was going get video of the whole night, but after two songs from the first band – Dread Pirates – the place got so packed I wasn’t able to get anything.. and I mean, people were literally, 4 feet from the band… ah well, I did get two songs from the opening band Dread Pirates (see below) they were totally awesome, and that’s all, alas, venue was just too small, but it rocked.
Dread Pirates were up as the opening act
Miho Wada’s MJO were the main act
Landy & Co as the closing act.
Three very different bands, all three awesome!
To those who made, it, Thanks and hope you had just as an amazing time as I did.
To those who weren’t able to make it.. dudes.. next time!! come on!

Miho Wada & MJO (her band) played at both the Waiheke and Tauranga Jazz Festivals on the 30th (waiheke) and 31st (tarunga) of March 2013 to sold out shows.
Both shows were a powerhouse of awesomeness and the crowds love it!
On Thursday 9th of May at 8pm, Miho will be having a launch party for her new CD: EXIT 621, at 1885 The Basement, located at 27 Galway St, Auckland City. (click here for a map) It will be awesome to see you all there
