Pending day trip.. Rangitoto Island
Historic Rangitoto Island, a now dead volcano, is only about 600 years old, and is a conservation stronghold. I’m going there tomorrow (Monday) for a day trip, so should be good. I’m told I need to pack lunch, bring a hat and sun screen.. this all assuming it doesn’t rain. lol
Will have pictures tomorrow for you all 🙂

Night time adventures
This is an old building in town buy one of my favourite Asian food courts… dusk was just approaching. looks like all that holds this building together now is paint..
I saw, what I believe to be an unsuccessful attempt at jumping out a window….
Our colourful communications tower, Sky City Casino
The Sky Tower again, from the base, looking up to the 220m lookout deck
That’s all, until i work out how to make nighttime images less grainy.. damn digital cameras.
I want my 35mm back again 😦
(w)Hole lot of building ?
I don’t really understand companies some times…
here is an example of a large construction company who had a rock quarry and decided to turn it into a little housing development… personally, I think one really good long hard rain will teach them a lession about building houses in deep holes.. you can see the housing in the distant middle-left.
A close-up of the housing..
